Here
is a short history of our company :
Russian Gateway (UK) Ltd was
founded in 1999 with the specific aim of filling a large gap
in the UK travel market for a Russian travel operator with a
passion for customer service. Due to our unique product and
service we are now eating well in to the market share of the
big stuffy state run travel organisations and are proud to
say we have a large number or repeat clients. We adhere to
all UK and EC regulations regarding the sale of air and
package travel in that your money is kept safe until after
you return from your holiday. Russiana River Cruises was set
up to provide value for money luxury cruises between Moscow
and St.Petersburg, mostly to the UK market but over the past
four years, increasingly to the USA, Australia and South
Africa.
In 2005, a decision was made
to expand our operations in to Europe as well, and
Eurorivers.com was founded . Now, we have access to luxury
river cruises all over Europe.
In 2004 we attained some new
landmarks for example by chartering a full ship for 215
American passengers on a religious mission ! We designed the
entire programme in close conjunction with the group's
management and the cruise was a huge success. We followed
this up in 2005 with another group charter in May, once
again for a religious mission. Both cruises were unrivalled
successes due to our diligent and precise planning. Also in
2005 we have organised a large group of members of the
International Food and Wine Society of the United Kingdom.
We have been recommended by
The Observer 'Ask the Experts' section, the Mail on Sunday's
highly respected travel section on several occasions, The
Guardian and the Scottish Sunday Herald. In 2005 we have
featured in the Sunday Express Magazine's "Follow in the
Footsteps of James Bond" article . We also feature in the
latest batch of Lonely Planet Guides to Russia. We don't
have a PR department bombarding newspapers with offers etc -
we are written about by these publications as we have been
recommended. Our Directors have given local and national BBC
Radio interviews We are also regularly contacted by major
publications like the Economist (see August 6th 2005 issue)
for our opinions.
In September 2002 we were
responsible for sending the entire Liverpool Football Club
to Moscow to play against Spartak Moscow in the European
Champions League.
We are proud sponsors of The
Promise, a UK charity set up to pioneer new ways to support
children with special needs within the orphanage system in
Russia (see http://www.thepromise.org.uk)
